Helloo Club — kindness as protocol

Helloo exists so people can meet their kind of people, offline, without it feeling like walking into a party where you know no one. That only works if everyone helps keep it warm. These guidelines apply everywhere on Helloo — in clubs, at meetups, in Helloo AI, and in any messages between members.
Breaking them can mean a warning, removal from a club, or a permanent ban. Serious or unsafe behaviour skips straight to a ban.
The short version
- Be kind. Treat people the way you'd want to be treated the first time you walk into a room.
- Be real. Show up as yourself. No fake identities, no bots, no pretending to be someone you're not.
- Be safe. Nobody's safety, dignity, or comfort is worth a joke, a favour, or a sale.
- Respect the room. What happens at a meetup stays at the meetup unless people agree otherwise.
What we welcome
- Curiosity, warmth, and letting new people in.
- Hosts and members who make the quiet person feel included.
- Honest conversation, disagreement done with respect, and the good kind of silence.
- Showing up, or not — no streaks, no guilt.
What gets you removed
Harm to people
- Harassment, bullying, intimidation, or stalking — online or in person.
- Hate speech or discrimination based on religion, caste, gender, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, or any other identity.
- Sexual harassment, unwanted advances, or making anyone feel unsafe.
- Threats or violence of any kind.
Dishonesty and misuse
- Fake profiles, impersonation, or lying about your age or identity.
- Using clubs to sell, recruit, spam, solicit, run scams, or push an agenda the club isn't for.
- Sharing another member's private details, photos, or anything said at a meetup without their consent.
Endangering meetups
- Showing up intoxicated in a way that endangers others, or bringing weapons or illegal substances.
- Ignoring a host's reasonable safety instructions.
- Any behaviour that puts the group at risk.
Misusing Helloo AI
- Trying to make Helloo AI produce illegal, hateful, sexual-abuse, or dangerous content.
- Using it to harass, deceive, or harm another person.
Hosts set the tone
Hosts are trusted to keep meetups warm and safe. That means they can ask someone to leave, end a session, or escalate a concern to us. Please respect a host's calls in the moment — if you disagree, raise it with us afterward.
Hosts are held to a higher standard and to the Host Terms in addition to these guidelines.
Consent and privacy between members
- Don't photograph, record, or post other members without asking.
- Don't share contact details, home addresses, or personal stories that aren't yours to share.
- "Anonymous till you're ready" is a promise we make to everyone — help us keep it.
Reporting
If something feels wrong, tell us. You can:
- Use the Report button in the app.
- Message a host at a meetup.
- Email support@helloo.com.au.
For anything involving immediate danger, contact local emergency services first, then report to us. We review every report, act to protect members, and won't retaliate against good-faith reporters. See the Safety Policy for how reports are handled.
How we enforce
Depending on severity and history, we may: give a warning, remove content, remove you from a club, suspend your account, or ban you permanently. We try to be fair and consistent, but member safety comes first, and we may act immediately where it's needed.
